Peer Support Leaders A big thank you to my Peer Support Leaders, for all your incredible efforts with our Year 7 cohort this year. Your dedication has helped foster lasting bonds and friendships that will continue to grow over the coming years. We celebrated the success of the Peer Support Program with a wonderful picnic at Central Gardens, and it was clear how much of a positive impact this program has had. We look forward to the Peer Support training in Week 8 and selecting our next leaders. Your hard work and commitment have truly made a difference. Thank you also to the Year 7 homeroom teachers and coordinators for a successful year. Ms. Meduri Peer Support Coordinator

National Youth Science Forum 2025. Congratulations to Amber, Wendy, Celine and Lena from year 11 who have been successful in gaining a place in NYSF 2025. The program aims to give students a broader understanding of the opportunities available to them in the STEM field. The girls will join like minded delegates from across the country, over 10 days during the January holidays, at either the Australian National University, Canberra or the University of Queensland, Brisbane. During their experience, students will engage with industry partners, academics and research providers in the STEM field, they will also be involved in tours of science and technology facilities as well as learn about cutting edge research. We wish the girls the very best for their experience and look forward to hearing about their adventures!

Today, on All Saints' Day, we as a Catholic and a school community celebrate the lives and examples of the saints and pray for their intercession. Dear God, Thank you for the example of the Saints. I desire to join in their company, worshipping you forever in Heaven. Please help me follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ. Please help me to conform myself to Your image, seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did. Please help me to devote myself, and all that I do, to Your glory, and to the service of my neighbours. Amen

Australian Business Week (ABW) During week 1, Year 11 students participated in Australian Business Week (ABW). They were divided into 7 groups and then participated as a company aiming to create the best hotel. ABW is a week-long programme where each group is judged against a range of criteria for different categories. Each group had to design a banner, create a 30sec commercial, develop a functioning website, make financial decisions over 8 quarters, present their financial performance and finally have a trade display where judges, teachers, Year 10 students viewed the result of their work. We had amazing hotels and designs. The 2024 ABW Overall Champion was Snowfall Suites. A big thank you to our sponsors - Holroyd Rotary and Sproule Trophies and Corporate Awards. Holroyd Rotary sponsored a morning tea for the participants and provided judges to help judge categories on the final day. Craig Sproule from Sproule Trophies and Corporate Awards provided the medallions for the Champion team. Students had a great week, developing their business skills and using their collaborative and problem solving skills. Thank you to the teacher Mentors : Mr Hanna, Mr Lovadina, Mr Shore, Mr Bonora, Miss Hanson, Miss Batemen and Miss Kalisperis. Thank you to the ABW coordinators and administration - Mr Collimore, Mr Tham and Ms Tasioulas. Great work Year 11!

UN Youth Voice Last week a group of students from year 7-10 participated in the UN Youth Voice Public Speaking Competition at various heats around Sydney. Students spoke about the challenges of creating liveable cities, preserving less spoken non-English languages and how what should be done to help Australian schools to keep pace with technological development. Following their speech, students had to answer questions about their chosen topic. This experience, although challenging, allowed students to explore some global issues and practise their public speaking skills. Congratulations to Tsion, Nayana, Marie, Tanishka and Aaira for their efforts so far..we wish them all the best for the rest of the competition.
